When the time comes for you to enlist the services of any respected Asian DJs, you will have a number of things to keep into consideration. Not only do you have to think about

//

booking, but you need to be able to determine what type of overall experience you are going for with your event. Since every customer’s need is different, the specifics for your next Asian DJ roadshow need to be extremely customizable as well. If you do what it takes on your end, you can ensure that your experience will be one that is full of unique memories that cannot be replaced or recreated.

The first thing that you will have to consider is the type of event that you are going for. You may be looking for a semi-formal event that will require a more laid back atmosphere for your employees and potential customers. You may be on the other end of the spectrum, wanting to have the most high tech and elaborate dj experience that you can afford to give to those that will be attending your event. Most Asian DJ roadshows have fully integrated multimedia experiences that can be customized to fit any type of specification that you desire, so you have to properly assess your need.

The next thing that you will want to do is see which Asian DJ roadshow is the most capable of carrying out your requests for this event. You have to consider the fact that some DJs are only good at being a real life jukebox, and cannot give a proper experience as a roadshow DJ act. If you are looking for someone to simply shift between multiple genres of music and look the part, you may want to think about not spending the extra money that a more technically proficient DJ would require.

You will also have to think about what is being offered for the rates that are being quoted to you for the event. Is the roadshow going to provide a full spectrum entertainment experience? Or are they simply planning on showing up with a book of CDs or a laptop? Do not let them take advantage of your ignorance by getting charged for pressing play on a cd player. Good DJ technique entitles much more work and care for their craft, and the end result also shines out amongst the others that are available.

While the debate over the cleanest mixing style amongst Asian DJs may continue over the next coming years, there are quite a few that currently stand out from the rest. In addition to technical proficiency, there are many other factors that have to be considered when trying to determine who are the best Asian DJs in today’s music industry. From stage presence, to track selection, the best Asian DJs have to be on point in many areas of expertise.

The first name that comes to mind when you think of an excellent show is Paragon. Not only have they done what it takes to become the most respected Asian DJs from their initial skill, they have brought the whole DJ experience to a new level for all of their clients. Not only do Paragon show up with a set to play, they bring a full rig of sound, lighting, and video presentations to their shows. They approach the DJ experience as a team of dedicated individuals that are devoted to particular aspects of their art form. Having one member dedicated to the lighting controller, one to video, and the others battle each other on the decks for supremacy. Paragon has become the most sought after group of Asian DJs in the country, and if you have seen them perform, you will know why. Able to rock any crowd set before them, Paragon continues to push the envelope into new realms of perception. Since Paragon are only one team of mixing professionals, it may be fitting to next discuss some of the other Asian DJs that are standing out as well.

Ritzy and Calibar have also been given much acclaim as they continue to climb the best Asian DJ charts. Ritzy has become known for deep house grooves that are full of organic rhythms and mixed with ultra-smooth transitions. From Dub to Deep House, Ritzy has been rocking the scene as one of the most respected Asian DJs out there. Calibar has to be given special mention due to the fact their mixing is unmatched by anyone. Calibar shines as one of the best Asian DJs of today for many reasons, but the most notably being their energetic stage presences.

In a world of ever-increasing Asian DJs, one’s skills really have to be fine tuned in order to stand out. These Asian DJs are laying down the new standards of mixing!

For those of you who are planning an Asian wedding, you might find yourself at lost for good Asian DJs. If many of your guests consist mostly of Asians who only speak their native tongue or those from an older generation keen on tradition and culture, it is even more important to find a wedding DJ that can communicate the language and play a variety of music. However, finding Asian DJs can be quite difficult because they are not always listed in the yellow pages or on popular wedding sites. Moreover, you want a good DJ that suits your personal style and needs. Yet, they are there if you look in the right places. Here are some ideas:

1)	Ask Friends and Relatives
The best place to start is to ask Asian friends or relatives that had previously hired DJs for their wedding. If you attended their wedding, try to recall any details about the DJ and the music. Then ask your friend or relative for his or her opinion of the DJ. If the DJ is good, ask for his or her contact information as well. Obviously, you can ignore the ones you or your friend personally dislikes. Note that you might need to approach the topic carefully, depending on the person. Some people will be glad to recommend you their DJ while others might think that you are trying to copy them

2)	Ask the Manager at Banquet Hall/Restaurant
Whether you are having your wedding at an Asian banquet hall or restaurant, you can ask the manager for some contacts. Many of them have dealt with the same DJs repeated times and might be able to give you some suggestions. Once you receive the contact information, set up a meeting with the DJ in person to determine whether his or her style is compatible with yours.

3)	Asian Wedding Photography Studios
There are many Asian photography studios that offer complete wedding packages including photo albums, videos, dress and tux rentals, limousine, and even DJs/emcees. If you are only interested in their DJ, feel free to negotiate and bargain with them. If they do not have their own DJ, they will definitely know DJs that they can recommend. Many DJs also advertise their services through these studios and leave business cards behind. Even if you have no intention of purchasing these packages, you can always go anyway and feign interest to find out about the DJs. It never hurts to ask.

In recent years Asian djs music has started to steadily become more mainstream in western culture with radio stations playing more and more emerging artists in Asian music.

In the early part of the millennium Hollywood gave a nod to the Bollywood film industry with the romantic comedies The Guru and Bride and Prejudice. Since those tentative acknowledgments to the burgeoning Bollywood scene, interest in Asian music and its culture has grown rapidly. From Bollywood love songs to contemporary dance tracks, the Asian influence on pop culture is everywhere. Musical luminaries such as Talvin Singh and Nitin Sawnhey have garnered reputations as serious artists in both world and pop music. More recently A.R. Rahman received well deserved recognition as an artist and composer, largely thanks to his inspiring work on the Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire.

Back in 1996 the British radio and television company, BBC, launched The Asian Network, a radio station dedicated to the music and lifestyles of the Asian community. Originally a regional radio station in the midland area of England, the station soon gained national coverage due to its popularity and since then it has grown to become available to listeners around the world via the internet based BBC iPlayer. As well as cultural news and radio entertainment such as documentaries and radio plays, The Asian Network also plays a wide variety of Asian music from different regions. As an introduction to Asian music, The Asian Network is ideal as it shows the many facets and genres that lie within Asian music covering everything from Bhangra mixes to Hindi love songs.

Traditional musical instruments such as sitar, flutes and Guqin (a 7 stringed zither of Chinese origin) sit alongside more contemporary instrumentation such as drum machines, sequencers and synthesizers to provide much of today’s Asian music with a truly original soundscape.

Asian DJs and music covers huge range of music styles genres. Everything from Bollywood, Bhangra, British-Asian Urban and South- Asian Pop and Rock.

In the heart of Beijing – vinyl rules in the DJ world. Copied CD’s and other high tech ways of getting music aren’t favoured by the pros. Sure its expensive to get hold of the latest western tracks and sounds, but thats the way of the land over here. Most vinyl is ordered online, and isn’t available in record shops like in the western world – its an expensive hobby!

Outside of the mayor cities, its all about technology to get ahead of the game. The internet. This technology revolution has helped many young DJ’s progress in the filed, but it still limited compared to the outside world. The internet is heavily censored in places like China, and having access to everything the western DJ’s can see (or hear) just isn’t possible.

The budding youngsters are finding they have to create their own music in order to get a foot in the door. It is hugely popular to download DJ software for all the mixing and editing. This is a growing online community who are constantly tracking the world press for reviews, info and the latest mixes.

Most asian DJ’s outside of the big sites have entire collections downloaded from the net – 100′s, if not 1000′s of tracks to mix and play at events, parties and with friends. THe problem is – downloading is the only option, Vinyl is just too rare and expensive to make it viable.

Now, with the bread of tech savvy kids getting online, they can get hold of all the popular dance songs and connect with a global community online through forums, message boards, chat rooms and email.

Some of the worlds best DJ’s are asian – fact. Be sure to check out this new site and have a look around for deals, videos and the latest music offerings and trends.
